AutonetMagz – Finally the hatchback who marks the debut of Hyundai N as the performance division of Hyundai arrived. Based on the Hyundai i30 hatchback, this car will compete against VW Golf GTI, Renault Megane RS, using its 2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbocharger and 6-speed MT.
During its introduction, the car will be fitted with 2 engine output, as a standard version with 246 hp, while the performance package will be given 271 hp and 0.3 seconds of difference in acceleration. The standard could set 0-100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds, as the performance version only 6.1 seconds.
What interesting is the chassis was really good along with an adaptive suspension as standard. This enabled 5 driving mode starting from Eco, Normal, Sport, N, and N Custom who could be activated from the steering wheel.
This custom settings will covers suspension character, engine parameter, ESC, steering wheel feeling, rev-matching features up to engine tone.
For the performance package version, it fitted with a 19 inches wheels along with Pirelli P-Zero, bigger brakes with red caliper, electronic LSD, and variable valve exhaust system.
With this kind of features, Hyundai want to put the i30 N as a sport car for daily driving, fast in circuit, and able to compete against Golf GTI.
Looking at the design, it looks great, as it fitted with a true aerodynamics equipment and 4 mm lower stance than a normal i30. As the car itself will be introduced in Europe at the end of 2017 along with the i30 Fastback.
