AutonetMagz – Several days prior to the 2016 GIIAS, Hyundai Mobil Indonesia has opened the booking order for the new Hyundai i20, who will become the big brother of the current Hyundai Grand Avega. After the spyshot circulated and the actual model appears, finally it arrive in Indonesia following the Hyundai Tucson.
According to one of the Hyundai sales in Jakarta, the new Hyundai i20 will be available with a price tag from IDR 249 million for the MT, and IDR 263 million for the AT. If we order the car now, the first delivery will be done at the end of August plus an original Hyundai i20 die cast and optional accessories.
For our Indonesia version, the Hyundai Grand i20 is an Indian CBU units, just like the Hyundai Grand i10. This car also fitted with the latest features such as head unit with 8 inches of touch screen plus Bluetooth and GPS ready.
In terms of comfort, the new car will be equipped with a Digital AC, leather steering wheel with tilt and telescopic settings, glove box with air cooling, steering switch control, rear parking sensor, and keyless entry complete with the start stop engine button.
In terms of features, a pair of Dual SRS airbags and ABS will become standard. What interesting is, this new i20 will be fitted with a rear AC vent just like the new Honda City, and become the first Hatchback in its segment to apply this features.
Too bad, the engine will remains to use the 1.4 liter 4 cylinder we found in Hyundai Getz or Hyundai Grand Avega. While in India, it fitted with a 1.4 liter Turbo Diesel producing 90 Ps and 22.4 kg.m available from 1,500 rpm to 2,750 rpm.
