AutonetMagz – Mazda Motor Corporations has announced that the upcoming Mazda 2/Demio in Japan who already got a new Kodo design styling will be fitted by a newly developed 1.5 liter Diesel engine dubbed the SKYACTIV-D 1.5.

The new 1.5 SKYACTIV have a similar base design of the SKYACTIV 2.2 who has been used in CX-5 models. Its incorporate a low compression ratio to achieve an ideal combustion condition (14.8:1). Another technology embedded is a combustion mode transition control technology, and high dispersion solenoid injectors to minimize cooling loss.

For the cooling system, a water valve control system and water jacket spacers equipped to improve combustion efficiency and reduce mechanical resistance. To enhance the power output, Mazda incorporates a Variable turbine geometry turbocharger with rotation sensorthat delivers plentiful boost pressure from low through to high engine speeds.

Mazda Will Display Hazumi Concept at Geneva


AutonetMagz – Mazda recently announced that they will displayed their newest sub-compact concept car called Hazumi at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show this March. Hazumi in Japanese means “bound” or “spring up”, and Mazda thinks the name will suits the concept car whose design was filled with burst of energy.

Not much to see only from the teaser picture, but we could expect that this concept car are the future face of Mazda 2 (Demio) who will follow the Kodo Design Language, that already applied for other Mazda line-ups.

Besides the concept Hazumi, Mazda also will held the world premiere of the SKYACTIV-D 1.5 a small displacement clean diesel engine that would be available for future Mada models.
