AutonetMagz – The 250 cc fairing sportbike segment remains to become a hot market to be conquered by any makers in Indonesia. Despite not as big as the 150 cc segment, the 250 cc brings their own prestige, as Kawasaki did rule this segment with the Kawasaki Ninja 250, and now Honda time to rule it with their new and phenomenal Honda CBR250RR, along with Yamaha with R25, and Suzuki with nobody. Indeed they have the Inazuma, but its not a sport fairing model, which is currently they have none.
Outside of Indonesia, there are a fairing model of Inazuma called as GSX-R250, as prior to the launching event on next April on Japan, the GSX price tag has been unveiled for the UK market.
If you think the CBR 250RR Repsol edition price tag are too much, don’t be surprised with the GSX price tag who reach IDR 70.7 million, which is not too much in UK, considering the Ninja 250 RR mono priced at around IDR 63 million. While the 2 cylinder version most of the model are in the 300 cc range, such as Kawasaki Ninja 300 with IDR 80.2 million and YZF R3 priced at IDR 83.5 million.
Not to mention the GSX-R250 considered quite inferior in terms of engine, as if its nemesis equipped with above 30 hp of output, GSX-R250 only produce 24.7 Hp from the similar engine fitted in the Inazuma or GW250 series. Despite its huge torque of 23.4 Nm still remains comparable against its rival, surely this output are a little bit let down.
So will it come to our Indonesia market? looks like Suzuki lovers should be more patience waiting for this bike, as to see the bike in UK priced at IDR 70.7 million for the Black color, and IDR 72 million for the distinctive Blue Suzuki livery, in Japan market, the price will become IDR 61 million, so let’s wait for the price tag in China and Thailand market to see the price reference for our market.
