Back on the Paris Motor Show 2016, a concept car with the UX code has been introduced, as the UX-Concept designed by ED2, a design center owned by Lexus in France. This concept development are aiming the young segment and first owners of Lexus cars. Surely it will be different market segment compared to the IS Sedan and CT Hatchback.
The UX-Concept will apply the TNGA platform who applied in several Toyota models such as Toyota Prius, Toyota Camry, and Toyota C-HR. Since last year, the UX are being planned to replace the CT hatchback who having bad sales recently. As this year, a more clear info came for the UX, as in the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, Executive Vice President of Lexus International, Yoshihiro Sawa said to motoring.com.au that UX will be realized soon, and the 2018 will be the year to see the production model.
