AutonetMagz – The upcoming Shell Eco-marathon (SEM) Asia 2017, for the first time this unique race participated by students across Asia Pacific and Middle East will be held in Singapore.
This year, more than 120 teams will test and race their car in an artificial circuit to in the 8th SEM Asia. Indonesia students team are teams who existing from the 1st SEM Asia held on 2010, and this year around 26 team form Indonesia coming across 19 university in 8 province will represent Indonesia.

Through SEM Asia, we want to help the world in fulfilling the energy demands in a responsible ways through partnership with students, partner, and policies maker.”
For the first time in the SEM history, the best teams of SEM 2017 will compete in the Drivers’ World Championship – Asia Regional Final to determine the fastest energy efficient vehicles and represent Asia on the Driver’s World Championship Global Final at London on May 2017.
On last year, Team Bumi Siliwangi from UPI Bandung, Teamm Sadewa from UI and Team ITS Team 2 from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November (ITS) manage to be the 2016 SEM Asia Manila winners and represent Asia in the Shell Eco-marathon Drivers’ World Championship London on July 2016. The Bumi Siliwangi team 4 from UPI, Bandung become the winner of SEM DWC and won a full week trip to Maranello Italy to interact directly with Scuderia Ferrari team on last December 2016.
