AutonetMagz – Its been a while since EA and Porsche establish an exclusive contract, so Porsche cars only available in EA games. That is why in all Need For Speed Series, Porsche always exists, but not always in other games. As for example at the Gran Turismo 5 ot Project Cars, you wouldn’t find Porsche, and other examples.
But all of those will end soon, as GTPlanet reporting that the exclusive contract of Porsche and EA will end on this year. As Porsche Branded Entertainment Manager, Sebastian Hornung did follow the situation of gaming industry outside EA, and thinks that the condition was not too good for Porsche anymore.
As Porsche found out partnering with Kunos Simulazioni to create a simulation like Asseto Corsa, but special for Porsche. This simulator will be operated at all Porsche Experience Center worldwide, and we think they didn’t pick the wrong partner, considering Asseto Corsa have a good reputation for a racing simulator besides Live For Speed, rFactor 2, etc.
Still from the same source, Porsche will think a long and hard if anybody offer another exclusive contract, as more than 10 years Porsche absent from an official racing simulator, and Need For Speed series wasn’t a simulator.
Porsche has appears at the expansion pack for Forza Horizon 2, and will arrive as an official content on FOrza Motorsport 6. As in other game, Project Cars has released Porsche availability, along with other Porsche cars in Forza Horizon 3.
