AutonetMagz – On next September 2017, the LCGC from Toyota Daihatsu, the Agya Ayla will enter its 4th year anniversary, surely based on those age, its normal for us to expect something new for this model. Looks like it is going to happened soon, as Astra are preparing some updates for this city car, and the changes will cover its engine.
Indeed in the LCGC segment, Agya Ayla fitted with a small engine, a 989 cc which is similar as the Karimun Wagon R. The rest of the model applied a 1.2 liter like Calya Sigra, and rivals such as Datsun GO Panca, GO+ Panca, and Honda Brio Satya. Surely Agya and Ayla could apply the same 3NR-VE engine with 1.2 liter Dual VVT-i producing 88 PS and 108 Nm of torque.
Quoting from Otomotif page of Kompas.com, Sudirman Maman Rusdi, as the Presiden Direktur PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) said that this year, there will be an improvement for their LCGC, as the introduction will be done at the upcoming 2017 IIMS.
Hearing his statement, the version to be brought was merely an introduction model only, so it will not be available at the event yet. So if indeed a 1.2 liter engine to be applied, how about the fate of the 1.0 liter engine? no worries, as the engine will be marketed along the new 1.2 liter engine, so you could choose either one of them.
With this improvement, surely the price will be went up, and we shall see how much the price difference. As with this improvement, surely we hope the features are going to be improved too.
